• Daily Drinking Red Wine Club Nov 2018

This month is action-packed with some stellar finds that I'm pretty proud of.  All three of these wines are perfect for that holiday burn that will be sitting on top of the dinner table this month.
2015 Branciforti dei Bordonaro Syrah - Deep intense ruby red colour. Marvelous and well-defined nuances of cherry and plum aromas with a touch of spice. Suave, soft and caressing, it reveals its great and intensely Mediterranean character admirably matching a powerful and hearty texture and an extraordinary vivacity.  Ideal match with dishes like lasagna with ragout, veal filet with wild mushrooms, stewed boar.
2012 Enate Crianza - Earthy red-berry aromas include a note of forest floor. A medium-bodied palate is centered on tight racy acidity, while this blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon tastes of red plum, mixed spices and cocoa powder. An edgy finish with spiced cherry and plum flavors is juicy and primed by raw acidity.
    2017 Flaco Tempranillo -

Produced from organically grown, dry-farmed vineyards. Flaco shows the complexity of twice its price. These vines are tended in diverse micro-climates, allowing for more consistency of ripeness year after year.

The fresh, pure character of this wine makes this an extremely versatile wine to pair with food. This wine pairs well with white meats like pork and chicken and flaky fish like hake, cod or flounder. This has the fruit and acidity to match with red meats, as well.
