    January 2018
Here are your club wine peeps...
Daily Drinking Red Wine Club $39
    2015 Garofoli 'Farnio' Rosso Piceno
Notes:  60% Montepulciano & 40% Sangiovese.  This medium-bodied wine comes from the hilly areas of Ancona, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno. It is meant for early consumption.  Perfect accompaniment for savory pizzas and those made with cheese; introductory dishes with red sauces and grilled meats.
2015 Maiana Salice Salentino Rosso DOC
Notes:  This wine is ruby-red in color with expressive notes of ripe plum mingled with blackberry jam and sweet spice. On the palate, Maiana is full-bodied and robust.  A wonderful partner to roast game, beef, or hearty casseroles.
    2015 Contrade Negroamaro
Notes:  Deep ruby red; intense aroma, with notes of cherry and blueberry jam, cocoa, licorice and floral fragrances. Round with warm structure and smooth tannins.  On these cold nights...this wine makes it worth sitting on the front porch with a book!

    Red Wine Club $75
2015 Le Grand Bouqueteau Chinon $17
Notes:  This soft, juicy and fruity is full of red-berry flavors that are laced with acidity and a spicy, smoky edge. The wine is smooth and ready to drink.
2008 San Felice Campogiovani Brunello di Montalcino $58
Notes:  The 2008 Brunello di Montalcino is strikingly beautiful in this vintage. Sweet floral notes meld into raspberries, flowers, mint and spices. A sexy, radiant wine, the 2008 impresses for its balance and overall sense of harmony. The long, polished finish is impeccable. All the elements are in the right place. I don’t expect the 2008 to be a long-term ager, but it is very appealing today.  There were only 36 bottles of the 2008 brought into the state...I guess you folks in the red wine club just happen to know someone in the industry.
