    January 2022 Champagne Club
Champagne de Saint-Gall Le Blanc de Blancs is a true delight, this emblematic varietal Champagne is wonderfully aromatic. With a lovely pale hue and a nose of white flowers and linden, it is delicate, mineral and superbly fresh on the palate.  100% Chardonnay Premier Cru is at its best as an aperitif or when served with a salmon-mango tartare with a fennel emulsion. $40
January 2022 Red Wine Club $75 per month
Château Picque Caillou produces a red wine from Pessac-Léognan based on the best merlot and cabernet sauvignon from 2013. The 2013 Château Picque Caillou is the ideal red to combine with birds and white meat.  Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Merlot plus when you order 12 bottles it comes in a wood box.
Toasted notes pronounced, peppers, licorice, after a few minutes of aeration, cooked dark fruit notes (blackcurrant, cranberry) on the nose with  broad and generous pretty good soft attack, round mouth, red fruit, fine tannins and well melted. Long finish with a slight bitterness..perfect! $50
2018 Comtesse de Malet Roquefort Bordeaux made by the traditional family who owns and makes Château La Gaffelière in Saint Emilion, this is a well structured, yet subtle red wine. Silky and fresh with juicy red fruits, the Merlot in the blend gives it a deep and ripe character with crisp acidity; the Cabernet Sauvignon gives it a more modern richness, and the Cab Franc imparts a tangy, delicious taste. The tannins are soft and nicely harmonized. Brighter notes of blackcurrant and plum pick up on the long finish. This wine pairs really well with grilled meats, rich pasta dishes and fine cheeses. $25
January 2022 Daily Red Wine Club $39 per month.
For the start of the year I picked out a few little gems 💎 that taste great while not breaking the bank.
This little 2018 Bordeaux from Chevalier du Moulin, a blend of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. On the nose, there are notes of dark cherry, spices and earthy tones. The palate is balanced and silky with a fruit-forward finish.
Franco Serra makes a pretty killer Barbera d'Asti! for an even better price.  Brilliant ruby red with hints of crimson. Cherry and floral on the nose, with a hint of anise. Dry and medium bodied with ripe red fruit, bright acidity and smooth tannins.
The La Vigna Chianti is as barebones as it comes when looking for a Chianti.  That being said...it's a pretty tasty little wine.  Showing a delightful red color, it has an intensely vinous bouquet with a fragrance of violet. The flavor is dry and harmonious. It's just what momma needs for that bowl of pasta.
