The name “Raux” stems from the ancient Oc language (the old dialect of the region) and means “stream,” a nod to its positioning near the Gironde Estuary. Château du Raux produces a wine typical of the Médoc—deep in color, full bodied and seamlessly structured with room to develop if cellared. The nose offers pleasing spices which lead to a smooth and clean yet elegant palate.
