• October Wine Club Wines 2019

Red Wine Club $75 per mo
2014 Marques de Caceres Rioja Reserva - Year in year out, this Reserva blend of Tempranillo with 10% Garnacha and 5% Graciano delivers the goods. Youthful, scented and deeply colored, with ageing only in French oak, it has focus and intensity with lots of dark berry fruit and a sheen of vanilla spice. ($30)
2014 Muga Rioja Seleccion Especial - Cherry red in color, this wine offers aromas of ripe red fruits, spices (pepper), undergrowth, coffee, and caramel. The palate is silky, with tannin present, denoting youth and good aging potential. Elegant and balanced.  Pair with red meats, lamb and grilled rockfish.  Blend: 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo, 3% Graciano. ($45)
Champagne Wine Club $30 - $120 per mo
2008 Champagne Colin Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru - If you've been looking for a Blanc de Blancs that can hold its own with a wine like Egly-Ouriet's otherworldly Blanc de Noirs (which goes for twice as much money), here it is. It's easy to see why: it comes from 35 year old vines, with 5 years on the lees before disgorgement. This is Grand Cru, from the villages of Oiry and Cramant. Here are our notes, verbatim: "So good. Rocking. Triple cream cheese. Savory. Expressive. Pain au chocolat. Chalk. Bravo!
Daily Drinking Red Wine Club $39 per mo
Who's ready for some daily red wine?  We have a stellar lineup of wines for you this month.

2017 Domaine Le Clos des Lumières L’éclat Cotes du Rhone Rouge - 70/30 split of Grenache and Syrah...this medium-bodied Rhone will pair up with pretty much anything you toss at it.  Solid red-fruit notes of cherry and other tree-vine fruit.  A touch of earth on the back part but not enough to make you think of a cheap Chateauneuf-du-Pape.  Finish is as soft as a babies butt yet doesn't smell like a diaper.

2017 Chateau Beau-Puits Bordeaux - A traditional Bordeaux blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau Beau-Puits flaunts full fruit aromas with flavors of ripe cherries, fresh herbs, and hints of fresh mint accompanied by round tannins. Chateau Beau-Puits is a 35-acre property located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of France and is home to the Tarride Family, the winemaking team behind this traditional Bordeaux. The 35-year-old vines located on the property of this Chateau produce a red wine with a velvety, easy-to-drink quality.

2015 Chateau Andriet Bordeaux Supérieur - This is an un-oaked Merlot-based beast with some Cabernet on the end.  The wine is so good we sold 6 cases the first weekend I had it in the shop.  Matter fact...the wine was going to be on last months wine club but we sold it all and I needed to grab another wine so here it is now.  Trust me...just taste it!

As always, during the month of October if you want to pick up some more of the wines above you'll get 15% off!  Only for this month though.
