• Thirsty Thursday Tasting!

Starting this week I'm going to try something different.  I'll be holding a tasting on Thursday from 4-7 instead of Friday.  Now I'll always have something open on Friday but I just wanted to see what would happen if I held a tasting mid-week.

Here's the juice for this week.

2014 Chateau Tertre de Launay Blanc - Finely balanced wine; bright peach, pink grapefruit and red berry fruit flavors with good minerality. The wine shows lively final acidity for a delicious aftertaste. Great with salads, fish and chicken dishes. Unbelievable value!

2013 Domaine Labbe Vin de Savoie Abymes BlancA vibrant expression of jacquère, it features understated green apple, pear and pineapple fruit; delicate notes of citrus blossom; and a healthy injection of what feels and tastes like liquefied stone. The relatively low alcohol and mouthwatering acidity make this “Muscadet of the Alps” a refreshing, palate-cleansing aperitif as well as a spectacular accompaniment to food.

2014 Latium Morini Soave - It is crystalline in appearance, straw- yellow in colour. Quite intense and complex to the nose, there are hints of flowers and fruit such as apple and peach, good minerality. It is a balanced, intense and quite persistent product, great quality. Mature in its evolutive stage, it is a harmonious wine.

2014 Domaine des Fines Caillottes Pouilly-Fume (Jean Pabiot) - Brilliant light yellow. Expressive nose of grapefruit, apple, pear and floral undertones. Lively attack flowing into a suave, full and fresh palate with crisp aromas. Well-balanced, focused and elegant. A dashing, seductive wine.
These are all great white wines for Easter or for these upcoming warm days..hopefully.
