• Domini Veneti Tasting on April 23rd at 3pm

I've been waiting to do this tasting for over a month but things were held up on the dock...so they say. Wines are truly amazing and the first time I tasted their wines was back in 2008 when I was living in Rome. Took a long weekend and headed up there...so glad I did cuase now you all will get to see what I mean. With over 80 years of wine production...Domini Veneti is still one of the youngsters in the area but dont let that fool you...they know what they're doing!

2013 Domini Veneti Bianco Custoza - Just a stellar white wine that if you don't try...people will laugh at you cause you're still drinking nothing buy Chardonnay. $13

2013 Soave Classico Ca de Na - Classic is every way. Some of you fell in love with another Soave we tasted a month ago...this one is just as good for $4 less. $13

2011 Valpolicella DOC Classico - Another textbook Valpolicella at a stupid-low price. $13

2011 Domini Veneti Raudii Red Blend IGT - Think of this red as the Veneto's version of a "Super-Tuscan", blending the predominant local varietal (in this case, Corvina) with a classic Bordeaux varietal (in this case, Merlot). The larger Corvina component adds freshness and bright berry nuances. It drives the wine's personality. The Merlot offers color and softness. Eight months in oak add spice and tobacco. Pair this easy Italian red with home-cooked sauce and pasta. $13

2011 Domini Veneti Amarone Classico - Dense, compact garnet red in color with a strong and persistent, ethereal and fruity bouquet presenting hints of black cherries and dry prunes. The palate is well-structured and smooth with velvety tannins. This Amarone presents itself as a classic example and a stellar performer within the top Amarone in the World. $32 (regular price $50)

2011 Domini Veneti Recioto della Valpolicella Classico Vigneti di Moron DOC - The wine has a complex, spicy aroma, which are woven notes of blueberries, cherries, slightly dried plums, cherries, chocolate and coffee beans. The taste of the wine is full, dense, with a bulk structure, silky tannins and a long, berry aftertaste. 500ml $30. This might melt your heart away!
