• Thirsty Thursday the 28th of April...

Thursday April 28th at 4pm for Free
Time to get your Rosé action on! Oh what? Real men don't drink rosé? Guess I'm not real man then...even though my wife is with child, I chop firewood and...splash on some Old Spice every morning. So here's what I'm thinking for Thursday. It's gonna be around 66° and sunny. Perfect Seattle rosé drinking temps!

2015 Domaine des Terrisses Gaillac Rosé - A blend of 50% Syrah, 25% Braucol and 25% Duras. This is a soft, ripe wine. It has strawberry flavors that are lifted by a orange zest acidity. It's all fruit, fresh and ready to drink. Perfect for when you just need a solid rosé to relax with. $14

2015 Olivares Jumilla Rosé - Easily one of the best "bang for the buck" Rose, Olivares Rosado is back again for 2015! This beautiful blend of Monastrell (un-grafted from 100+ year-old vines!) and Garnacha is floral and fragrant with notes of strawberry and melon. An incredible spring into summer sipper, it has the weight and balance to be enjoyed year-round. $10

2015 Domaine de la Citadelle Le Chataignier Luberon Rosé - n the glass, the wine has a limpid, pale pink color. The nose opens discreetly with wild strawberries, fresh white flowers, herbes de Provence, and the cinnamon-like side of fresh green perilla. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and concentrated, with red cherries and persimmon joining the wild strawberries and red currants; all seasoned with fresh acidity and mouthfilling saline minerality. $13

2015 Domaine de Triennes Rosé - Principally Cinsault, blended with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot. This wine has a bouquet of strawberries and white flowers. Red fruit and notes of citrus contribue to the aromatic complexity. It has the harmony and elegance that has earned world-wide appreciation of the rosé of Provence. $15

2015 Domaine de Fontsainte Corbieres Gris de Gris Rosé - A crystalline salmon color with superb amethyst tints. Fine separate legs run slowly down the glass. Expressive and particularly tonic, the wine immediately gives off notes of raspberry, cherry and freshly picked strawberries - followed by exotic aromas such as pineapple and mango. $15

And just like that...the 2015 rosé season is starting to come in
