Friday is gonna be a blast! Since Mother's Day is on Sunday you'll see that I'm kinda focusing on wines that mom will like. To be honest...you're problem the reason she drinks so much and for that maybe you should pick up some nice bottles of vino that she'll be able to enjoy with anything. We're gonna be tasting some white wines that might have a slight residual sugar finish to them, some new rosé that are priced...right! Then we have a beautiful red wine that all of you loved but we ran out of.
2013 Kuentz-Bas Alsace Blanc - A minerally white, with smoke and fresh forest notes underscoring the open-knit palate of Jonagold apple, candied kumquat and slivered almond.
2014 Corne Loup Tavel Rosé - Elegant, refreshing, food-friendly and versatile, this very well made Tavel offers mouth-watering aromas of strawberry and berry pie.
2014 Ormarine Picpoul - Few wines are as fresh and quenching as this Picpoul de Pinet. It is perfect as an aperitif with or without fresh seafood. This aromatic white from the Languedoc on the Mediterranean coast is a brilliant pale gold color and bursting with scents of white flowers, passion fruit and citrus peel. Dry, fruity and lively in the mouth, this new varietal is ideal with grilled fish, seafood, rich cheese and charcuterie.
2015 Ormilles Cotes de Provence Rosé - Pinky, salmon color, with elegant perfumes of wild berries and hints of vanilla. Chill this bad boy with Mediterranean dishes such as “petits farcis” or seafood. Also a good match with exotic foods. Hell...just drink it on the patio when its warm out.
2012 Catherine Le Goeuil "Cairanne" Cotes du Rhone - I'm not going to spill the beans on this one at all. You've all tasted the the 2011 a few months ago. Now the 2012 is out. Those of you that missed out o the 2011...well you might wanna come down and have a snort of the 2012.
Success! Feel free to
