• 7/1 La Basia vs Domaine de la Cadette..dueling Kermit Wines

    Saturday at 3pm-7pm
You know that sometimes I like to shake shit up a bit. Start a little fight between producers and importers. Find out which ones you guys prefer and who will come out on top. For this tasting I decided since we are heading into a holiday week/weeknd I'd mix things up and pair an Italian producer against a French prodcer.

Two producers that are truly amazing yet difficult for me to get my hands on. Let's have some fun. Maybe you'll learn soemthing new this Satuday...

2014 La Basia La Botte Piena Rosso - Mediterranean flavors on a mountain structure. Notes of wild herbs and shrubbery mingle with fresh, ripe, dark fruits over soft and cozy tannins, lifted by a bright acidity.

2011 La Basia Garda Marzemino “Le Morene” - At La Basia, on the western side of the lake, Marzemino displays its typical aromas of violets, plums, blackberries, and herbs with a forthright deliciousness. Both chewy and refreshing, this is the perfect pizza wine, but it performs equally well alongside wild mushrooms, smoked charcuterie, and braised meats.

2015 Domaine de la Cadette Bourgogne Blanc
2012 Domaine de la Cadette Bourgogne Rouge
2015 Domaine de la Cadette Melon Blanc

See what I did there...gave you a little taste with the first few wines then I'm making you come in and taste the rest. You know where I'll be....
