About a month or so ago I had the chance to taste though a pretty serious lineup of wines from Moccagatta in Piedmont. Barbaresco is the key here folks but also a white or two and an a Langhe Rosso. We'll also be welcoming a very special guest in the shop for the tasting who can answer any questions you might have about their wines. 2012 Moccagatta "Cole" Barbaresco - 2012 Barbaresco is gorgeous. Cloves, dark cherries, plums and smoke meld together in the glass. Soft, silky tannins give the 2012 much of its early appeal. The round, resonant finish is quite attractive. The 2012 is a dark, powerful Barbaresco, especially at this level, but all the elements are in the right place. As you can see...we are not screwing around here peeps!!!
