• 8/12 It's So Hot Im Sweating....Tasting

Saturday the 12th will be the So Hot Tasting
So last weekend I did a major cock-up!  I basically had the trifecta of horrible luck.  It was Seafair weekend, Canada was vaping so much you couldn't see the river behind the shop and it was so hot I was sweating...you get the idea!  I opened the wines and a few people showed up but I closed the shop around 5pm or so cause Bothell was dead!  Us merchants were actually going to each others shops to see if we'd all just close and as luck would have it...most of us did.
There is one major problem though...the wines I opened were off the hook amazing so I'll roll the same tasting wines plus a few more daily whites I tasted today.  Price-wise..these wines are all about that daily drinking time boys and girls.

2015 Contini Vermentino - Delicate orchard fruit aromas and flavors are lifted by lively acidity and a touch of fresh citrus....delicious and easy to drink. Perfect for a hot day. $13 per 750ml.

2016 Clos Alivu Rosé (Corsica)This Corsican Rose has a light salmon-pink color and exhibits a gorgeous perfume with floral and cherry nuances. Lovely fruit with a floral and citrus tinge is backed by a nice, crisp finish. It is a perfect accompaniment to just about any Mediterranean inspired dish. $22 per 750ml.

2016 Chateau Brigue Provence RoséChateau de Brigue makes stunning, Provencal rose. Light in color, elegant in flavor and wonderfully refreshing. Raspberry, strawberry and cherry blossom are the key flavors here, all wrapped up in fine acidity which makes for a bright and refreshing mouthful. $13 per 750ml.

2016 Chateau Gabriel RoséPale pink robe, aromatic nose with notes of vine peaches, fresh and structured mouth. Ideal accompaniment for grilled meats, marinated fish, courgette flower fritters. $17 per 750ml.

2016 Domaine de Couron Cotes du Rhone Villages Blanc - Mineral-laced stone fruits, tangerine and honeysuckle to go with a medium to full-bodied, textured, yet laser-focused feel on the palate.  $14 per 750ml.

Plus I tasted this 2016 Cotes de Provence Rose that's only $12 and a Albarino from Spain that I think was only $11!  Bought a case of each!

    Cheers and stay cool.
