Have you ever seen the above bottle before?

Valentines Day this year is on Sunday plus it will be raining all weekend.  There's no excuse for you not to come down and spend a few hours just tasting some solid vino with your happy other.  We'll be tasting a collection of wines that are designed to set the mood the get things rolling right on Sunday.

NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé - Possibly the world's greatest Non-Vintage Brut Rose! Such an elegant, ethereal wine, this orange-pink wine is dry and crisp with fruity raspberry flavor at the fore. This particular bottling could improve for a year, but makes a great food Champagne now.

2014 Hippolyte Reversy Sancerre Rosé - Jean Reverdy's Sancerre is a delightful Rosé comprised entirely of Pinot Noir. It is invitingly soft rose color hints at aromas of soft red fruit, and flavors of strawberry with noted minerality. While delicate in color, this wine has a bold flavor and would pair perfectly with grilled red meats as well as grilled white meats. One sip of this rosé on a warm summer evening and you will come to realize why rosés are what the European crowd drinks all summer long & throughout the winter.

2014 Giuseppe Quintarelli Bianco Secco - The old Roman adage “baccus amat colles,” or “Baccus loves the hills” is rarely more true than in 2014, which threw cold, rainy weather at Italy’s winemakers; fortunately, the Veneto saw a warm, sunny harvest, which gave Quintarelli a healthy, small crop of intense berries for its Bianco Secco. Classic and crisp, the ’14 Bianco Secco wafts with crushed white flowers, citrus and orchard fruits, a touch of honeyed spice and a nice core of minerals. Fresh yet flavorful, the wine’s palate unfolds with nuance and sophistication, revealing myriad notes and an enchanting inner perfume. Stunning and blonde, Quintarelli’s value-conscious white, Bianco Secco, is a seductive blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Saorin. *only 24 bottles in the area*

2010 Oddero Barolo DOCG - Very pretty aromas and flavors of dried strawberries and plums follow through to a full body, with velvety tannins and an intense finish. ItÍs all in the finish here. Needs at least five years to come together. Impressive structure. Best blended Barolo ever from here. - James Suckling (95 points if you give a rip)

NV Patrick Bottex "La Cueille" Bugey-Cerdon Rosé - Dry, crisp, fresh and incredibly fragrant, this sparkling wine is a terrific bargain. The good news is there are around 4,000 cases of it, although I do not know how much is imported by Kermit Lynch ... This cuvee may qualify as the 'wine bargain of the year.' A Champagne-like sparkling rose from the largely forgotten area of Bugey (which only received appellation status in 2009), this low alcohol (8%) offering is made from 90% Gamay and 10% Poulsard (an indigenous grape of the region). (RP)

Tasting starts at 3pm till closing on Saturday the 13th 2016
