• Ettore Germano Tasting w/ Sergio Germano on 4/29

    April 29th from 3-7pm
This tasting has been on the books since last year but I always wait till the last second thus making you guys change your plans for an awesome tasting.  Having been a huge fan of Sergio's wines for sometime now, I was offered the chance to host him on a Saturday...why would I say no?  I love being able to pour Barolo for you all but when the producer can be here in person...that's just the cherry on top!  We don't see a lot of producers in the shop since all of ours live across the pond so when they can make it...I book it.
Let's welcome Sergio Germano from Piedmont to our little shop in Bothell.
Sergio will be pouring the following wines...
2015 Ettore Germano "Herzu" Riesling - In the glass the wine is straw yellow with greenish glints. The aroma is fruity, slightly tropical whe young, and evolves into complex herbal and mineral notes due to the adidity. In the mouth the entry is full. Savory. And rich with fruit; the finish is fresh and persistent. Accompaniments: well with raw fish preparations and seafood antipasti in general.
2015 Ettore Germano Langhe Chardonnay - The nose is fruity, with hints of toasted bread. In the mouth the wine is full and harmonious, acidity giving freshness and length.
2014 Ettore Germano Barbera d'Alba - Ruby red, with garnet glints. The aroma is of ripe fruit and forest floor, with hints of vanilla; in the mouth the wine is full land austere; the bright acidity gives a sensation of freshness and prolongs the finish, the flavors consistent with the aroma.  Accompaniments would include salumi, flavorful first courses and main dishes, and medium-aged cheeses.
