• New Bordeaux w/ Katie the Magnificent on 4/8

This Saturday we'll be tasting some killer Bordeaux that I went crazy for! How crazy? I started to Instagram the damn bottles!!!!! They were that good and I had to book the tasting 6 weeks ahead in order to get the wines.

Katie "the nose" will be here to pour the wines and talk us off the ledge of craziness when you all taste these magical mystery tour of wines.

2015 Chateau Nicot Entre Deux Mers - This little Sauv Blanc for only $10 is the perfect patio pounder!!! Get three bottles, chill them down, and wait for the neighbors to come over...everyone is getting their buzz on and the wine will be excelent!

2014 Chateau d'Alix Pessac Leognan - The plots for this wine were bought in 2008 by the Belloc family of Château Brondelle in Graves, with the first vintage of red appearing in 2012 and white 2013, 50/50 Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon. Stephane Toutoundji consultant. This is tightly structured, there is vibrancy and forward direction to the fruit, 80% new oak, which is maybe a little too high for vines with an average of five years of age, but an estate to watch over the next few years.

2015 Chateau Roustaing - From vines in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, the wine is fresh, fruity and light. It has red-currant flavors that are bright and crisp. It's perfumed by the Cabernet Franc that dominates the blend.

2011 Chateau Le Doyenne - This rounded, full wine is densely packed with fruit, but also tannins that add balance. Blackberry flavors come through the dry structure to give both richness and freshness. The aftertaste is ripe, juicy and delicious.

2011 Chateau Teynac Saint-Julien - The wine has a pleasant, silky taste with well integrated tannins, light oak and spicy nuances and a long elegant finish, which reveals the colors red and black fruits.

2011 Chateau Loupiac Gaudiet (this is that sweet little golden juicy gem of a wine) - The appellation of Loupiac sits alongside the more famous Sauternes, offering a dollar-friendly doorway to the sweet wines of Bordeaux. Just the right balance of crispness and fresh fruit.

Boys and girls...get ready to have your mind and palate blown!
