Well people…Seafair is upon us. What does that mean for most of us? Nothing. For some though it means the sounds of the Blue Angles ripping overhead, 200+mph hydroplane skimming across the water with tons of people cheering on their favorite boat. Yes people…It’s Seafair time!
Here are the wines I’ll be pairing up for Seafair…
2016 Domaine Masson-Blondelet Villa Paulus Pouilly-Fumé - A subtle nose of crisp crunchy plum and capsicum has aromas of gunflint and citrus. The ripe palate of juicy fruits is well supported by the mineral core and freshness, leading to a great length.
2017 Domaine Riffault Cortem a Baitis Sancerre Blanc
2016 Domaine Moutard Chablis - A lean, dry Chablis with delicate floral aromas and a bold, powerful palate with mineral overtones.
2017 Domaine de Thulon Beaujolais-Villages Rosé - Beautiful, pale "pink petal" color. The nose shows delicate notes of citrus and pink grapefruit. Light, supple and fruity on the palate. Let yourself be surprised by this wine, which has become the "must" of Summer!
2017 Henri Bourgeois Chateaumeillant Les Amphores Gamay Rosé - Produced from Gamay in a small enclave of vines south of Sancerre, this is a cherry-blossom-perfumed wine, bright and crisp with red-cherry flavors. It is ready now.
