• Time for Trimbach on 4/13

    Friday the 13th at 4pm
First off...this Friday is Friday the 13th so that being said...I'm gonna scare the shit out of your palate people. On Tuesday morning I had a private tasting with Anne Trimbach and a few guest. What aspired was truly magic. First, a few of our customers had a chance to meet Anne and taste a few new wines coming to the market which is usually an event for stuffy pretentious Somms in the area. Second...I was able to gauge the reaction of my customers as they tasted...that was awesome.

We'll be tasting some serious juice here peeps so check this out and come on by the shop to have your palate adjusted.

2016 Domaine Trimbach Pinot Blanc - A wine for pure pleasure! Maturing early, it is dry, well-balanced, supple and refreshing. Pinot Blanc is ideal for serving as an aperitif, at formal dinners, receptions or light meals.

2013 Domaine Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve - Pear laced with subtle notes of smoke hints at a taut palate. The dryness and discipline of the poised flavors nonetheless allow the ripe, luscious pear fruit to glow and shine. Mouthfeel and texture are reminiscent of pear peel and bitter almond, and echo long after the last sip.

2015 Domaine Trimbach Riesling - Riesling is the most emblematic of Alsace grape varieties. Its delicate bouquet, the fine balance between its dry personality, its distinguished fruitiness and its natural vitality contribute to its exceptional richness. As the house style dictates, it is vinified dry.

2015 Domaine Trimbach Gewurztraminer - A very shy nose just releases the most teasing hint of peach. The palate is utterly restrained: peach flavors are dry and brightened by lemon and have a wonderful lightness of touch. The finish is dry, clean and long. A very refreshing and clean-cut take on Gewurztraminer.

2015 Domaine Trimbach Riesling Selection de Vieilles Vignes - Impeccable old-vine riesling from the world-renowned Trimbach estate. This wine is made only in the best years and only just hitting its stride. Delicate aroma of white flowers give way to a muscular and concentrated palate with a solid backbone of acidity, ensuring that the flavours go on and on. Exquisite.

As you can see...this is one for your palate and the prices...even cooler that the white wine going down your throat.

And since it will be raining out on Friday...not like you'll be mowing your lawn!
