Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Cuvee Ste. Catherine Grand Cru 2018

It displays a clear and intense lemon flavor on the nose, is very precise and mineral, and very, very deep. The piquant and finessed attack on the palate is followed by a very elegant and balanced flow on the palate, which clearly indicates a higher ripeness than the regular Schlossberg, but displays the same salty finish. There is more lemon chutney and roundness here but also more finesse.

The finish is round and elegant, very well balanced and absolutely lingering in its salinity. A great Schlossberg Grand Cru: powerful and intense but also subtle and elegant. A long distance runner.
