 40 year-old vineyards located on 4 different hills.  Fetească Neagră, literally ‘black young girl’, is an old variety that probably originates in the historical region of Moldavia (including today’s Republic of Moldova and the Romanian region of Moldova), where it has been traditionally cultivated, then spreading west to Transilvania and Hungary.  notes of ripe plum and black cherry, wrapped in velvety layers of dark chocolate, and refined balsamic accents that echo through an endlessly elegant finish. Powerful yet graceful, with firm tannins and a commanding structure, a wine of both immediate allure and remarkable aging potential. 14.5% ABV
