La Bastide Saint Dominique Rasteau “La Cabane” Rouge 2023

70% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre

The La Bastide Saint Dominique estate lies at the foothills of Chateauneuf du Pape. Off of a 3-hectare vineyard, with red clay soils, and vines aged 25 to 30 years.  Aged for 10-12 months in concrete tanks before blending and bottling.  a silky feel, with layers of black plum, raspberry and cherry gliding along, backed by a subtle echo of licorice and wild strawberry. Fresh acidity keeps it lifted, while fine-grained tannins lend poise through the finish.  14.5% ABV
