Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial Vinyes Velles Priorat 2015

100% Carignane from hundred year old vines in some of the best vineyards in Priorat.  Malolactic fermentation and ageing occurs in fine-grained, lightly toasted French oak barrels for 19 months. Bottling is unfined and unfiltered. Bottle aged for a minimum of four years.

Deep, glistening ruby. A highly perfumed bouquet features ripe red and blue fruit, exotic spice, vanilla and smoky mineral qualities, and a suave floral note emerges slowly. Palate-staining, alluringly sweet black raspberry, cherry cola, mocha and floral pastille flavors are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows strong focus and mineral cut on a strikingly long, floral-dominated finish that’s given shape by gently chewy, even tannins.
