Grapes are destemmed and placed in stainless steel tanks for approximately 10 days after alcoholic fermentation ends to enhance color extraction, structure, and complexity.  Aged for 14 months in new, extra-fine-grain French oak barrels.  Bright, characteristic reddish-cherry color.  The nose offers an intense and complex bouquet of wild berries, spices, raspberry liqueur, Luxardo cherry, anisette, and rose petal.  The palate is supple, energetic, and full-bodied with notes of blackberry, black cherry, clove, violet, cocoa, and fine-grained, structured tannins.  14% ABV
