79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot

The history of Château Haut-Bages Libéral began in the 18th century with the Libéral family, founders of the estate.  In 1855 the property became a 5th classified Bordeaux Growth.  Aged in oak barrels for 16 months (40% new oak).  Expressive aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and violets, layered with crushed raspberries, classic cedar, and graphite.  Full-bodied and generous, featuring smooth, silky, and finely grained tannins.  Balanced acidity provides a fresh backbone, leading into a long, persistent finish with subtle spice and dark fruit.
