45% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot.
Located west of Ordonnac village on a double thalweg of gravelly-clay soils; average vine age is around 38 years (with some vines over 80 years old). The grapes at Potensac are hand-harvested and then vinified in a combination of temperature-controlled, concrete, and stainless-steel tanks. The wine is matured in small oak barrels (20% new) for 14-16 months. Aged 14 to 16 months in French oak (roughly 35% new barriques). A rich, fruity nose featuring blackcurrant, blueberry, ripe black plum, boysenberries, and redcurrant jelly, layered with subtle notes of sage, vanilla, dried Provence herbs, tobacco, graphite, and smoky oak. Full-bodied and juicy with a generous texture, vibrant red and black berry layers, firm yet soft structured tannins, and a refreshing line of bright acidity. 14.5% ABV
