100% Old-vine Gamay Noir (white-juiced, average vine age ~50 years)

Matured for 9 to 12 months in 228-liter oak barrels (1/10th or 10% new oak, with the remainder in 1- to 5-year-old barrels).  Deep, brilliant, sustained red.  Rich and noble notes of ripe black fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh cherry, blueberry, floral hints, rounded out by warm spices, clove, brown spices, and subtle oak.  Medium- to full-bodied, concentrated and opulent yet balanced with a juicy, fresh fruit profile and fine class.  13.5% ABV
