Domaine de la Charbonniere "Les Hautes Brusquieres" Chateauneuf du Pape 2012

Domaine de la Charbonniere
  • $ 70.00

60% Grenache, 39% Syrah, 1% Counoise

Domaine de la Charbonnière has been the singular passion of the Maret family since their purchase of this iconic property in 1912. All the grapes come from the Brusquières plateau, in the north of Châteauneuf du Pape, where we can find the famous “Galets Roulés”.

This dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a black licorice bouquet with hints of black cherry and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, dynamic and velvety. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with hints of blackberry, oak and black cherry. It’s pretty complex. The finish is dry and its tannins build up and stick around for a while.  15.5% ABV
