Coming from a winemaking family for several generations, Domaine Rochette created their domain in 1981.  The 2022 Domaine Rochette 'Reggie' Gamay Rouge is delicious and quaffable with a cascade of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and a whisper of blackcurrant. An undercurrent of subtle floral notes, predominantly violets and peonies, weaves through the fruit, while a hint of fresh-turned earth and subtle spice balance out those cheerful fruit notes. On the palate, the red fruit characteristics echo the nose, with cherries and strawberries taking center stage. There’s an energetic acidity and minerality that cuts through the fruitiness, making the wine incredibly refreshing. The tannins are soft, velvety, and inviting.  13% ABV
