Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Blanc (Chardonnay) 2023

100% Chardonnay (comprising a blend of standard Chardonnay Blanc and Chardonnay Rose)

Old vines planted between 1949 and 2012 (ranging roughly from 15 to 75+ years old).  Assembled from 5 different Marsannay vineyard parcels, including Blungeys and Clos du Roy.  Fermented in vats and barrels using indigenous yeasts.  15 to 18 months on fine lees in barrels (with roughly 15% to 33% new oak), followed by about 1 month in stainless steel tanks for settling.  Pale yellow color.  Notes of ripe citrus, green or yellow apple, white-fleshed pear, white flowers, and chalky/stony minerality.  Medium to full-bodied, textural, generous, and precise with a vibrant mineral-driven finish. 12.5% ABV
