This wine comes from 30-year old Cabernet vines in the Penedès, where many vineyards are either in sight of the ocean or at least close to it. These cool, salty breezes help keep the temperature reasonably moderate in an otherwise dry and hot region. Cabernet loves heat but also loves a slowed-down ripening process. Woodsy graphite notes mixed with classic minty black fruit.  Nice acidity that allows this 30 year old vine Cabernet to be paired with all kinds of food.
