Single vineyard with 70-year-old low-yield vines, harvested manually.  Alcoholic fermentation and maceration in 500-liter French oak barrels for 3 to 4 weeks.  Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels.  Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.  Refined for an additional 12 months in the bottle before release.  Deep cherry red with vivid purple hues.  Complex aromas of mature black fruit, sweet spices, balsamic touches, toasted oak, and underlying mineral notes.  Tasty, broad, and structured, featuring fine, silky tannins, balancing acidity, and a long, memorable finish.  15% ABV
