The Thanisch family has cultivated wine since the year 1636 and can look back on a history covering almost 400 years. The estate celebrated recently its 375th anniversary.
Grown on steep Devon slated vineyards in Bernkastel-Kues along the romantic Mosel river. Produced from grapes harvested from 40-year old vines in the Bernkastel region. The wine offers a complex nose of grapefruit, vineyard peach and slate. Juicy and elegant it has an animating presence on the palate with a lot of minerality. Impressing the long finish. A well-structured dry Riesling with so much minerality. 12% ABV
