Domaine François Rousset-Martin Poulsard Les Vignasses 2018

Francois Rousset-Martin comes from a long line of winemaking family as both of his great-grandfather and grandfather were vine growers in Jura. Growing up in Burgundy, Francois would often spend his time between Burgundy and Jura helping his father while making wine. After graduating from his oenology degree, he started to make wine in Southern Rhone as well as in Languedoc. He eventually returned to Jura in 2007 to take over the family vineyard and to make his own wine in the village of Nevy-sur-Seille.

On the nose, notes of red fruit, strawberries, and a floral touch, expressive red and purple fruit, a slight hint of "Jura funk", forest floor, earth, and licorice.   Flavors of jam, pomegranate, blueberry, strawberry, and cherry, with a herbal note on the finish.  The acidity is moderate-plus and fruit-driven, contributing to a well-balanced, easy-drinking profile. 13% ABV
