Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau Pouilly-Fuisse Madrigal 2023

 100% Chardonnay from the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. It is made from 50+ year old vines from two plots, one in Vergisson and one in Prissé. The wine is aged for 16-18 months in Burgundy barrels, with 15% new wood.  Deeper yellow fruit on the nose, nectarine and a touch of wild peach, a little dried honey and lanolin that comes through with aeration. The palate has superb density, fine grip, almost Meursault-like with the 20% new oak.  13% ABV
