Calx comes from Fillipo Cassano, owner of the Cantine Polvanera in Puglia, the ‘heel’ of Italy’s boot. Calx, which is the ancient Latin word for limestone, the unique soil in this region which gives Primitivo a singular freshness. This juicy, medium-bodied, organic red is fresh and fun, with notes of zingy red berries and dried figs. We love the crunchy red fruit, peppery spice and joyful juiciness of this wine, which shines even brighter with a slight chill.  The perfect summer red that works with everything from park day drinking to BBQs to twilight sipping
