65% Sangiovese 35% Cabernet Sauvignon

Fruit for Le Difese is selected from Tenuta San Guido estate’s younger vines.  After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 4 months in stainless steel tanks, followed by 6–8 months in French and American oak barrels that previously held Sassicaia and Guidalberto.  

A vibrant cherry-red color.  Nose of fresh strawberries, cherries, sour cherries, and plums—all crisp, ripe, and bursting with flavor—layered with an earthy, herbal edge that brings to mind aromas of tea leaves, forest floor, and rosemary.  On the palate, it delivers textbook balance, with medium body, refreshing acidity, and velvety tannins. Ripe fruit mingles with hints of spice, herbs, and coffee, creating a harmonious and thoroughly enjoyable experience.  13.5% ABV
