Tenuta Marsiliana Birillo Costa Toscana Rosso 2019

Birillo 2021 presents itself with an intense yet not impenetrable ruby red color.  Remarkable brightness, and with a convivial nose of widely displayed aromas: a dynamic bouquet of small red and black berries, fresh flowers such as violets and irises, and a layer of spices, with an unmistakable vegetal hint recalling the local Mediterranean scrub. The aromatic idea of dynamism proves then in the taste with a snappy and incisive sip, sprinkled with fresh fruity and spicy flavors.  Blessed with softly, cautiously extracted tannins. The general tone of the wine is ultimately lightened by a good level of acidity, and the sip remains pleasant until the balsamic, espressive, refreshing finale.  14% ABV
