Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino 2018

100% Sangiovese

Tenute Silvio Nardi’s classic Brunello is a blend of the finest grapes from the Manachiara and Casale del Bosco estates. Silvio Nardi follows the strict DOCG laws required of a classified Brunello di Montalcino. Yield is limited; only the top 70% of the grapes is used to make the wine.  Fermentation and maceration for at least 20 days at temperature-controlled vats. Maturation for 12 months in new and used French oak barriques (Allier), followed by 12 months in large Slovenian oak barrels. Bottle-aged for at least six months.

Intense ruby red color with garnet highlights.   Aromas of red plum, sweet balsamic, leather, dark cherry and blackberry preserves with a hint of spice and mild tobacco.   Medium-bodied on the palate, with notes of meaty black cherry, dark soil, and tea leaf as well as gripping tannins.  15% ABV
