Villa Venti 'A' Rosso Amphora 2022

100% Centesimino (a rare, native grape from Emilia-Romagna, Italy)

Fermented and aged in Georgian-style amphorae (qvevri).  On the nose, notes of dark-skinned berries, red and black currants, and blueberries. Floral scents are also a key feature, including, violet, dried rose, and orange blossom, along with hints of mint or camphor. Subtle spicy undertones of licorice, anise, black pepper, and clove may also be present.  On the palate, dry and fresh, with a clear, vibrant, and light to medium-bodied profile.  Flavors of ripe morello cherry, red currant, and other juicy red fruits, often with an earthy or mineral edge that tempers the fruit's typical punchiness.  13% ABV
