Ca Del Baio Vallegrande Barbaresco 2019

100% Nebbiolo

Vines planted from 1967.  Traditional stem-free on-the-skins fermentation for 7 to 15 days in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine matures for 24 months in casks made of Slavonian oak, and is then cellared for 6 months in the bottle prior to release.  

Bright, light garnet red to the eye.  The nose is Intense, with complex notes of red rose, violet, sour cherry, raspberry, wild herbs, and a subtle hint of menthol or camphor.  The palate is Medium-bodied and refined, with flavors of dried cherry, black pepper, licorice, and earthy undertones.  14.5% ABV
