The name Farnito is derived from a type of oak tree known as Farna found in the vicinity of the vineyards. Carpineto Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from estate-grown fruit.  Aged 10–12 months in new and previously-used French & American oak barriques, followed by 8+ months in bottle.  Ruby red with delicate orange reflections.  Clean, intense, and complex with layers of ripe black cherry, blackberry, plum, dark berries, and subtle hints of spice, licorice, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, dried flowers, earth, and campfire ember. Full, rich, and persistent, delivering a core of dark fruit, grilled herbs, smoky/toasty oak, and a touch of espresso or menthol. 13.5% ABV
