Single vineyard estate split into Poggio Sant'Enrico Piccolo (1.33 hectares / 3.20 acres) and Poggio Sant'Enrico Grande (3.65 hectares / 8.76 acres).  The 2012 growing season yielded a wine with excellent polyphenolic structure, bold concentration, and notable acidity built for extensive cellaring.  Aromas of blue flowers, resin, plum, black cherry, tobacco, leather, and subtle earthiness paired with hints of French oak and vanilla.  Full-bodied and velvety with high flavor intensity featuring dried cherry, dark chocolate, black pepper, and walnut. It features rigid, close-grained tannins providing a firm, persistent grip. 14% ABV
