PALA is based in Serdiana, a rural town located about 20 kilometers northeast of Cagliari in southern Sardinia. This commune, with a long agricultural history, is at the center of the winery’s operations and houses both its winemaking facility and key vineyard sites. Founded in 1950 by Salvatore Pala, the estate has remained a family-owned venture for over seventy years.  the wine shows a vivid ruby red with purple edges. Aromas of red cherry, pomegranate, and violet lead the nose, followed by hints of Mediterranean scrub, crushed rock, and a touch of pink peppercorn. The palate is medium-bodied, vibrant, and fresh, with well-integrated acidity and polished tannins. Flavors of sour plum, red currant, and rosemary carry through to a dry, slightly savory finish, marked by a clean, mineral edge.
